• #1 18-02-23 Don't Get Got, Avalon
  The first ever DubbleG and the debut of Simran's coffee brewing skills. Cold fashioneds were a big hit along with Don't Get Got which Phoebe breezed through primarily aided by Shetty as her muse. Lots of Avalon shenanigans and the first of many showdowns between Elle and social deduction games.

  Soya & Chela's first DubbleG. Dixit led to some interesting pairings like the team of high IQ Dhanush & not high IQ Deepak who ended up winning the game. Swaroop put in a sterling performance for his first ever social deduction game and even taught the group the very fun Ping Pang Pong

• #3 15-04-23 Just One, Dixit
  One of the shortest DubbleG editions ever in terms of duration. This one was a quick one with the debut of 'Just One' which turned out to be a surprising community favourite(Who remembers <i>cloud</i>?). This was also Prithvi's first appearance who first came in as Siddharth's +1 and ended up being a mainstay of the group.

  The first month to have 2 editions, one being the shortest on 15th April 2023 and the other being this one on the 30th. The first time Dune featured in a DubbleG edition, it was a tight cuthroat affair between the 4 players, with the notorious end game cards playing a pivotal role in deciding the victor.

  This one went on well into the night with the social dediction games just not stopping and a 6 pack of Cosmos kombucha being consumed.

• #6 24-06-23 Telestrations
  This one was particularly fun with Eldrida stealing the show with gems such as 'eyes in the jar', 'coconut cream pie', 'sewage rat'. The only edition so far that Deepak wasn't part of

• #7 15-07-23 Just One, Avalon
  A lot of +1s attended this particular edition with Naval, Osheen and Namrata making their appearances with Naval taking home the MVP for the night and never being seen again. Also showcased Poori's butterfly catching skills and some tasty home made parathas. Percival decided to hide under the coffee table so we ahd to play without him.

• #8 26-08-23 Just One, Deception, Dixit
  Karan and Swathy making their first appearances as the hosts' +1s. This one involved some quickfire rounds of Deception: Murder in Hong Kong with Dixit rounding out the night. A milestone with this being the first community hosted DubbleG edition complete with some homemade handrolled sushi and cameo appearances by Ra, Ri, and Yuki. Set the bar for hosting skills.

• #9 16-09-23 Fake Artist, Avalon, Radlands
  An experimental edition and chaotic edition. After the hilarious icebreaker of Fake Artist, 2 games were played simultaneously with Avalon and Radlands. CK & Swaroop teamed up to take on Prithvi & Sahana in Radlands and had to endure the ruckus created by the Avalon folks. The game night ended with an all hands Avalon which included some hilarious goof ups accentuated by newly printed custom edition Avalon cards. All in all a memorable night.

  The debut of the beast that is BOTC. There was a lot of hype around this one and boy did it live up. 4 games of BOTC that ran late into the night with the whole group discovering the mechanics together, some even came prepared with notebooks. Also saw the creation of the <a href='https://open.spotify.com/playlist/27kL2CyrKIR2pT1IqVNUTN?si=-PDFqm4SRceuQ8fnAEW3zw&utm_source=copy-link&pt=2222333ca0fad311478999a6cead8249'>Botc playlist</a> that everyone can contribute to. A lot of personal and hearfelt messages were posted on the group after this one and will always hold a special place in the archives of DubbleG.

  Just 3 days after the previous DubbleG, this took place at the height of a blinding addiction to Botc, fittingly on a Dussera holiday. The innocent lamb Avi showed his true colours of a stone cold killer with his Slaying skills in this edition.

  A rowdy and chaotic Dubble edition with an unusual presence of <i>spirits</i>, this BOTC themed DubbleG night saw the Hell's librarian being introduced as a feeble attempt to quell the riot. A perfect night for Avi & Raghul to try their hand at storytelling, this was truly a <b>social</b> deduction night. Special shoutout to the Swiggy guy who thought he walked in on a cult ritual.

  Although Harini couldn't make this edition physically, she represented herself with masterchef worthy snacks and descriptions for the snacks. This edition was as much about the food as it was about the games, with a very fitting message posted after the game. 'Amazing time, amazing games, amazing people.'

  Rounding out 2023, with an end of year celebration complete with a couple of out of town special guests and some <b>METAL</b> representation. Commemorative DubbleG magnets were given to attendees by the very thoughtful hosts.

• #15 13-01-24 Just One, Ticket to Ride, ONUW, Brandi Dog, Tentacle game, The Mind, Dumb Charades
  The first edition of 2024 a fitting first time community host Naini with some determined scraping of carrots to provide some healthy salads along with a delectable apple crumble. So many games on this night, appearances almost counted as double. Also, just say the word Brandi Dog and see how good it feels.

• #16 10-02-24 Radlands, Love Letter, Chai Garam, Azul
  After 15 editions, February 10th marked the first part of a two-part celebration for DubbleG's one-year anniversary. Only the freshest and coolest people were in attendance, with the competitive spirit running high. Guests were divided into Orange and Blue teams, competing in simultaneous games. After much drama and theatrics, the Orange team dominated with a 6-2 victory. With 16 freakin guests, it was the biggest DubbleG edition ever and the hosts made it look ez!

  The second in a two-part celebration for DubbleG's one-year anniversary, this one co-incidentally took place exactly on the 365th day after the first ever edition. Interestingly, apart from the Admins, Phoebe was the only community guest who was part of both the first and the anniversary editions of DubbleG. This was a smart way of ensuring her membership was never in danger! Multiple rounds of BOTC with Rohan putting in some memorable performances both as good & evil in his first ever BOTC appearance earned him the MVP.

  An intense and nail-biting Dune edition of DubbleG coincided with the release of Dune 2. Avi took an early lead that seemed unbeatable, but in an incredible come-from-behind victory, Reuben ultimately triumphed.

• #19 20-04-24 Avalon, Root
  A 4/20 edition of DubbleG but believe me it was very cool, very legal. A round of 6 player Avalon to set things up and the group dived into Root. Naini & Poori took up the orange cats ready to expand their influence, Prithvi & Deepak on the avian team looking to defend their territory, Simran with her aptly chosen Friends of the forest(bunnies included) faction and Rohan playing who the fuck knows what that character even was. Ultimately the bunny won. We were promised a rain dance which never materialized but perhaps it may happen again!

• #20 11-05-24 Valamkalli, BOTC, Dune
  Democracy is overrated and to prove this point, DubbleG engineered a state-of-the-art EVM to pick the games to be played for this edition. After a round of sloganeering and voting much resembling the elections that happened in the same month, the games were chosen. Valamkalli was quick, casual, fun. 2 rounds of BOTC with Elle being evil in both, finishing off with Dune which Poori won

  King of Tokyo turned out to be an absolute BLAST with lots of trash talk and a well deserved victory by the team of Naini & Deepika?(I don't remember). Also, the first apperance of Raghavendra aka RG who looks to be a mainstay in DubbleG who played a blinder in his first game of Avalon.

  8 players who have to come together to fight a common enemy, what could go wrong with such an idealistic co-op objective. A marathon 5 hour game with multiple breaks, I shudder to think what would've happened if the players actually lost at the end! True to the theme, fast powers were fast, slow powers were slowwww and Deepak was just there, sucking his thumb in the corner!
